Directed by Alan Parker and adapted from William Hjortsberg’s novel Falling Angel, Angel Heart is a neo-noir psychological horror film. In the film, detective Harry Angel (Mickey Rourke) takes on a job to find a missing musician and embarks on a journey where he encounters mysterious characters, dark secrets, and supernatural forces. Alongside Rourke, Robert De Niro delivers a chilling presence, and Lisa Bonet gives a memorable performance.

The film succeeds in keeping the audience on the edge of their seats from start to finish with its threatening atmosphere felt in every location, dark visual language, and shocking ending.
