The library of Sinematek/Sinema Evi has a growing collection built through donations. Our cinema-focused library was established to bring together literature on both Turkish and world cinema and to contribute to the advancement of film literacy.
We accept donations of books and journals on cinema only. Please note that we do not maintain a DVD collection.
All donated publications are subject to the following process:
● Donations are formally received with a record of the donator’s name and the date of the donation.
● Materials are queued for cataloging.
● Books are individually cataloged in the system, assigned inventory and classification numbers, labeled, and placed on shelves.
● A note acknowledging the donator is added to the inner cover of each donated item.
● Duplicate copies are not normally placed on shelves. Depending on the donor’s preference, duplicate items may either be returned to them or forwarded to another institution deemed appropriate by the library.
